Storm Damage Roof Repair

Storm damage can be obvious, such as displaced roofing or tree impact, or subtle, such as lifted edges, damaged flashing or punctures that begin leaking later.

After a Storm

Inspect from the ground where possible. Look for displaced shingles or panels, debris impact, damaged gutters or edges, fallen branches and new interior staining. Do not climb onto a wet or damaged roof.

Wind Damage

Wind can affect roof edges, ridges, flashing and roofing attachments. Damage may be concentrated on one exposure rather than spread evenly across the roof.

Falling Branches and Debris

Impact can damage the roofing surface and the substrate below it. A repair scope may need to include decking or structural evaluation depending on severity.

Documentation

Photograph visible conditions before temporary work when safe. Keep repair estimates, invoices and inspection information if insurance coverage may be involved. A1 Roofing does not determine insurance coverage; coverage decisions belong to the property owner and insurer.

Repair vs Replacement After Storm Damage

The decision should consider the extent of storm damage together with the pre-existing condition and age of the roof.
